Short and mysterious

What seemed to be a harmless stay in the Bed and Breakfast in Italy, after being caught in the rain, Adrian was in for a mystery. In his first night staying there with his parents, he met a five year old child, pale and blue-eyed and weirdly have cold hands. She wanted him to take her to her mother. What's weird is, she wants him to take her to her mother before she died! Her name was Allegra.

The next day, Adrian found the owner's daughter's name was also Allegra but much to his astonishment, it's not the same girl! This girl however wanted to see her father before she die. Creepiness ahead, the night Allegra kept coming to him.

He left only to know months later, the owner's daughter died due to an illness. And she died the same age as the night Allegra was.

The experience never left him only to meet another Allegra years after and the Night Allegra came to him again...

The book is short and pretty much a good quick read for me for my spare time. It kept the mystery to the end and pretty much fast pace. The characters and plots pulled you into the story. I love it. It's made for students hence it came with some after reading exercise to do for class or just for themselves in the back. I say it's good enough for students who need some reading done in class.

I like the book`The Mystery of Allegra`,because it was easy to read.I read it in two days and it wasn`t difficult for me,a girl,who have been learning English since the secound class.

The book tells us an exiting story about a boy,Adrian,who goes with his parents on holiday in Italy.They stay there one week and this weekis for Adrian very mysterious,because a beautiful five-year-old girlin a white nightdress with blond hair and blue eyes comes every night to him.She asks him:`Will you take me to my Mama?`
Adrian is going to find out the story of Allegra,the girl in the white nightdress.But there are four Allegas!
What I like about the story is that there is an exitingwave.The book tells the story of Allegra at the end.
What I don`t like about the story is the ending,because it`s boring.

But as I said:I like this book!
Read this book and you will understand`The Mystery of Allegra`.

Easy to read

The book "The Mistery of Allegra" by Peter Forman is interesting. In the beginning of the story it is very mysterious. But after sometime the story became easier to undertand. But in general the book was easy to read.

The text on the back cover of the book is very short but all information are in it. The cover of the book looks very mysterious, which matches the book very well.

Unfortunately the book includes only 50 pages and some of them are even pictures.

I think this book is too expensive. 8,60 is too much for such a small book. However I will recommend it to my friends.

Roberson's tightly written plot paves the way for events that might have come off as coincidences or accidents in less skillful hands, and her characters are engaging. Particularly strong is her construction of Marian, portrayed as thoroughly independent but not burdened with anachronistic feminist ways. Her incorporation of historical detail, including the handling of bows and swords, is assured and lends an unobtrusive richness to the tale, while Marian and Robin's tumultuous love should keep romance fans turning pages. Just as good as I thought it would be!

I don't want to give away the plot, especially since the book just came out. I've been waiting for this book for such a long time and had to read it the moment I got it.
Lady of Sherwood tells of the actual legend as we know of it, while Lady of the Forest was a prequel to the legend. Lady of Sherwood holds you until the end. Again, I wish deLacey was dead or worse. I'm also happy that this book doesn't strictly follow the politics, but focusing on the characters. You especially notice a change in Marian from the previous book.
For those of you who loved Lady of the Forest, you'll be wanting to read this. For those of you who have not yet read lady of the Forest, I would not say it is essential to reading the first book before this, but you'd be missing a great book.

Fantastic book!

I read Lady of the Forest last year and loved it. I wasn't certain I'd enjoy Lady of Sherwood as much because it didn't seem possible that I could like it as much as I did the first book. Am I glad to find I was wrong! It's beautifully written, the characters compelling, and the story riveting. Kudos to Ms Roberson for writing a sequel that's just as strong as the first book! By the way, I do feel that reading the first book is essential to understanding motivation of these characters, but not essential to the enjoyment of this book.

A Satisfactory Sequel

Lady of Sherwood continues, and finishes, the drama set in motion by Lady of the Forest. Robin, the rebellious son of the Earl of Huntington, lives with Marian in her estate. With them are the Merrie Enough Men, making ends meet, unmolested under the pardon of King Richard. It is upon King Richard's death that the trouble begins, not only for Robin and Marian's new life, but for the rest of England as well under the impeding rule of the detested Prince John.
Marian comes off stronger than ever as a character in this male-oriented power struggle, contributing far more than what a woman in the medeival ages is expected to impart, yet without overstepping the realism that is so well-embedded in this book.
This book is immersed much deeper in intrigue, and Marian's naivette in the first book had been completely irradicated in this installment. All the major players in this book push their characters to the extreme; Robin broods even more, the Earl of Huntington is more ruthless; the Sherrif of Nottingham more despicable... etc.
While I would have given this book a rating of 5, I could not help but compare it to the first book which, to me, holds more purpose in the context of why the story was told. In the first book, it was shown how Marian came to being as a woman and the lover of a famous outlaw amidst a brewing political struggle. In this book, Marian is made even tougher as the political struggles become more pronounced. It's like "Lady of the Forest: Extra Strength."
However, I would still recommend this book to satisfy the craving "Lady of the Forest" sowed in its readers. It's a fine read, well-constructed and well-developed.

The Tao is an embodiment of practical age old experiance and sage common sense. I personally used the lessons contained in this book to build a ten million dollar company. A common misconception is business is about products, when business is more about people, and their needs, desires, and fears. If money is your only goal, perhaps this book is not for you. However, if you feel the challenge of managment is an opportunity to broaden your life experiance the Tao of Managment can help you realize your goals with insights very relevant today. The Tao is about working with the natural potential we all have, but sometimes forget during the normal everyday grind. You will be surprised how definitive it is in handling the most common problems you will face on a day to day basis.

"Tao means god, tao cannot be defined." well, which one is it! The book lacked direction and focus, although certain anecdotes taught minor lessons. There are better books out there.

This is really a world famous novel! The author is full of imagination. In the book he described a magic world with little men in Lilliput and giant men in Brobdingnag. And there is also a country flying in the sky and a country managed by horse. The writer used this book to show some problems in the real world. So this book is really a good one. I think this book worth to be recommended to every one !
